Fliessende Melodien
4th Philharmonic Concert

Description

Brahms, Strauss, Rihm - they are all united by the flowing melody. And Mozart is the source of these rivers. Wolfgang Rihm comments on and interprets Brahms' 3rd Symphony directly with Nähe fern 3. Richard Strauss also seeks the eternal melody in his late work and dedicates his 2nd Horn Concerto to his father - the principal horn at the Munich Court Orchestra. Christoph Eß is also principal horn with a top Bavarian orchestra - the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra.
